Just trying to increase the bandwidth on this a bit. Won’t do any good, but at least will make me feel a bit better.
In short, don’t purchase a time share. A University of Central Florida study found that 85% of timeshare buyers regret their purchase.
You’ll be stuck with the time share and the associated fees forever. It’s not a savings om travel. For the amount you’ll spend on a timeshare, you can vacation in far better style, for far longer. And, more importantly, you aren’t forced to pay for it forever.
My parents purchased an El Cid Time Share from https://elcidvacationsclub.com/
They paid more than many people pay for a car up front, with recurring, high, monthly fees.
My parents are elderly and no longer able to travel. They have learned, as many people know, that you can’t get rid of the darned things. Yet they have no choice but to continue paying the maintenance fees on this timeshare. A timeshare that, eventually, my brother and I will inherit.A time share that, directly by El Cid’s admission, there’s no way to cancel:

I hope this email finds you well, I am following up on your request to sell or divest yourself from the contract. Unfortunatly El Cid does not offer any cancelation policies. One of the options that you have is to transfer your membership to someone els, you could find a friend or family member that would be interested and send in a request so that the contract is transfered to someone els, that way they can take over the responsibilities of the membership.
If you have any further questions do not hesitate to contact me.
